Dan started his own business, Truitt Engineering, in 1999. His experience in dealing with government bureaucracy and the state’s business tax structure helped inspire him to run for office and work to make the state more business friendly.
As a lawmaker, Dan’s legislative priorities include job creation, reducing the size and cost of state government, and enacting reforms to help restore public trust in state government.
Dan also serves his community through his involvement in several organizations, including the Boy Scouts of America, the Pennsylvania Leadership Charter School, and the Knights of Columbus.
Dan and his wife, Michele, reside in West Chester with their two sons, Daniel and Mark.
